Configure eduroam Wi-Fi On Your Device

Windows 10/11

  1. Click the network icon on the taskbar.
  2. Click the wireless network eduroam.
  3. Click Connect.
  4. Type in your GTIIT email address followed by @gtiit.edu.cn & password.
  5. Click OK and Connect

     

Mac computers

  1. Click the wireless network eduroam
  2. Type in your GTIIT username followed by @gtiit.edu.cn and password
  3. Click Join
  4. Verify the Certification - Make sure the Certificates server name is gtiit.edu.cn.
  5. Click Continue

                 

iOS Device (iPhone, iPad, iPod)

  1. Launch the Settings App on your iPhone or iPad. 
  2. Tap on WLAN
  3. Tap on the eduroam network name. 
  4. Enter your GTIIT username with @gtiit.edu.cn after it, e.g. xyz12345@gtiit.edu.cn 
  5. Enter your password. 
  6. You will be asked to trust a certificate. 
  7. Touch “Trust” to trust this certificate.  
  8. You will be returned to your device’s WLAN screen. 
  9. A tick beside eduroam should show that you are now connected. 

Android devices

  1. Click Settings then select Wireless & Networks and Wi-Fi settings.
  2. If wi-Fi is not enabled, please enable it.
  3. Select "eduroam".
  4. You may now be asked for a password to protect the credential storage on your device. This is a security setting for your device and not your Wi-Fi password. Please enter a memorable password here to continue.
  5. For EAP method select ‘PEAP’.
  6. For Phase 2 authentication select "MSCHAPV2".
  7. CA Certificate: Do not validate
  8. Enter your GTIIT username with @gtiit.edu.cn after it, e.g. xyz12345@gtiit.edu.cn..
  9. Enter your password. Some devices may have an "Anonymous identity" field. Leave this blank.
  10. Touch "Connect".
