Most devices remember the information you give when you set up a wireless connection. This is useful because it saves you having to enter the details each time you connect, but it makes things difficult when you want to make changes. For example, if you enter the wrong username or password or have recently changed your password, you will have to delete the profile of the known wireless network that was created and try again.
You can try removing or deleting the eduroam profile yourself. Instructions for this depend on your device. Deleting/removing a profile, can be as easy as clicking 'Forget this network' but it may be more complicated. See more detailed info for your device:
Windows 10
- Click the network icon in the right-bottom corner of your screen.
- Click Network & Internet Settings.
- Click Manage Known Network
- Select the existing eduroam profile and click Forget (and if necessary, OK).
- Go back to Wi-Fi and choose Show available networks.
- Click eduroam on the list and click Connect.
- Follow these steps to retry connecting to eduroam.
Mac
- Click the Wi-Fi icon toward the upper right of your screen in the menu bar.
- Click Network Preferences > Advanced and click the Wi-Fi tab.
- Select the eduroam network and click on the minus (-) button. Press OK and Apply.
- Retry connecting to eduroam.
iOS
- Launch the Settings App on your iPhone or iPad.
- Tap on WLAN.
- Tap on the info button next to the eduroam network name.
- Tap on Forget This Network.
- Retry connecting to eduroam.
Android
- Go to the Wi-Fi section of your settings menu.
- Find the eduroam network.
- Long press it, then chose Forget.
- Retry connecting to eduroam.
