By default, you are recommended to use the Microsoft Authenticator app for your GTIIT account sign-in method. However, Authenticator apps might not be fully compatible with some China-customized Android phone models, such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, etc. In other words, your Android device needs to support Google Play app installation to successfully register your GTIIT account with the Authenticator app on an Android device.

As a universal working approach, it is highly advised to use SMS verification codes sent to your mobile phone as your login authentication method.

- Retrieve your GTIIT account and one-time password via the GTIIT Admission Query
- Open a web browser and visit https://outlook.office365.com, enter your GTIIT account and the given one-time password.打开网页浏览器并访问 https://outlook.office365.com，输入你的GTIIT邮箱账户和一次性密码。
- When you are prompted More information required after you entered the correct password, click Next.当你在输入正确的密码后被提示“需要更多信息”时，点击“下一步”。
- You can use your smartphone to receive an SMS code for verification, select I want to set up a different method你可以使用你的智能手机接收验证码进行验证，选择“我想设置不同的方法”。
- Select Phone选择“电话”。
- Select China (+86) and enter your phone number, click Next to receive and enter the verification code. This way we set up a secure verification method to protect our account. If you didn't receive the message, it's probably going into Junk message, get it there and unblock this sender.选择中国（+86）并输入你的电话号码，点击“下一步”接收并输入验证码。这样我们设置了一个安全的验证方法来保护我们的账户。如果你没有收到消息，可能在垃圾短信中，从那里获取并解除对发件人的阻止。
- Enter the 6-digit verification code sent to your phone, click Next输入发送到你手机的6位数验证码，点击"下一步"。
- Click Next when you see the following page当你看到以下页面时，点击"下一步"。
- You will be asked to create a name for the App password. Create a name then click Next, and save the App password somewhere just in case it might be needed in future.系统会要求你为App密码创建一个名称。创建一个名称，然后点击"下一步"，将App密码保存在某个地方，以防未来需要使用。
- The phone number has been set up okay, click Done电话号码设置成功，点击"完成"。

Now you have registered your phone number with your GTIIT account, you can use the SMS code to reset a new password.现在你已经将你的电话号码注册到了你的GTIIT账户，你可以使用短信验证码来重置一个新密码。
- In the browser address bar, enter the new URL https://www.microsoft.com/sspr to reset a new password directly. Follow the prompts to enter your GTIIT account and the characters shown in the image.
- Select the default "I forgot my password" and click "Next".选择默认的“忘记密码了”， “下一步”。
- Enter the registered complete phone number, click "Text" to receive the verification code, and reset the new password.输入注册的完整手机号码，点击“文本”接收验证码，并重置新密码。
- The new password must be at least 10 characters long and include at least 3 types: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and special symbols.新密码长度至少 10 个字符，包含至少 3 种类型：小写字母、大写字母、数字及特殊符号。
- Wait a moment. If you see the prompt "Your password has been reset", it means the new password has been set successfully.稍等片刻，提示“已重置你的密码”说明新密码设置成功。
