By default, you are prompted to use the Microsoft Authenticator app for your GTIIT account sign-in method. However, Authenticator apps might not be fully compatible with some China-customized Android phone models, such as Xiaomi, Huawei, Oppo, etc. In other words, your Android device needs to support Google Play app installation to successfully register your GTIIT account with the Authenticator app on an Android device.

As a universal working approach, it is highly advised to use SMS verification codes sent to your mobile phone as your default login authentication method.

- Retrieve your GTIIT account and one-time password via the GTIIT Admission Query
- Open a web browser and visit https://outlook.office365.com, enter your GTIIT account and the given one-time password.打开网页浏览器并访问 https://outlook.office365.com，输入你的GTIIT邮箱账户和一次性密码。
- When you are prompted "Let's keep your account secure" after you entered the correct password, click Next.当你在输入正确的密码后被提示“确保账户安全”时，点击“下一步”。
- You can use your smartphone to receive an SMS code for verification, select ”Other options"你可以使用你的智能手机接收验证码进行验证，选择左下角的“其他选项“。
- Select "Phone"选择“电话”。
- Select "China (+86)" and enter your phone number, click "Next" to receive and enter the verification code. This way we set up a secure verification method to protect our account. - The phone number has been set up okay, click "Done"

Now you have registered your phone number with your GTIIT account, you can use the SMS code to reset a new password.

- Enter the one-time password in the “Current password” field and create your own password.
在“更新密码”界面，再次输入临时密码作为“当前密码”。在“新密码”和“确认密码”框中输入新密码。The new password must be at least 10 characters long and include at least 3 types: lowercase letters, uppercase letters, numbers, and special symbols. Do NOT include your given name or surname in the password.新密码长度至少 10 个字符，包含至少 3 种类型：小写字母、大写字母、数字及特殊符号。并且，新密码中不得包含你的名字或姓氏拼音。
- Wait a moment. If you see the prompt "Do this to reduce the number of times you are asked to sign in", it means the new password has been set successfully. You can click "Yes" if you are using your own device or click "No", if you don't want to save the password with the web browser.
